A poem about anger

A lone human warrior holding a sword faces a huge demon in a Hell like ladscape dominated by deep red hues. The landscape has plenty of derelict buildings and the demon has multiple horns and very large claws, and appears to be smirking.

I saw the flames of hell
scarlet tongues, dancing behind my eyelids
greedy to consume my reason
starved to be fed, famished for more

I saw fiery hues gripping my sanity
taunting me to unleash my rage
or else it might devour me
the more I resisted the more they mocked me

I saw red of all possible shades
scarlet, orange, crimson, bordeaux, violet
my inner daemon was having fun
they wanted to be let out, to play and prey

On me and the source of my anger
violent thoughts, tempestuous emotions
the daemon took them all and toyed with them
I sensed darkness encircling me, in and out

Yet I knew better than to keep feeding that beast
I slowed down my breath and heart rate
via meditation I tranquilized my emotions
and let the little devil starve
