To the eyes that question,
To the mouth that’s shut,
To the face that’s pale,
To the ears that hear,
To the drum that vibrates —
Yet it’s all quiet.

To the brain that complains
Of the noise that remains —
Yet it’s all quiet.

To the eyes that cry,
To the mouth that’s dry —
Yet it’s all quiet.

To the foe who becomes friend,
To the friend who becomes foe —
Yet it’s all quiet.

To all dysfunctional organs,
They all ask, “Who’s the culprit?”
And the answer comes out to be:
The person who has lost his charm,
For the person in whose presence he lost his calm.

What’s special about this poem is that it was my first one that i wrote. It was written in that golden hour of the day as I was witnessing a beautiful sunset and I was lost in finding the right words to express my thoughts.

A special mention to Golam Rob Adalea who have been supporting and admiring my work.
