Just A Word Or Two
Is it too much to ask
“Simon, I’m not sure I want you to bring Tanya around here anymore. She’s rude, petulant and totally disrespectful to both your father and I.”
Simon shook his head at his mother, clearly disappointed. “Mum, please give her time. She’s very shy and she’s traumatised from an extremely violent relationship she was in before she met me. Please be patient Mum, is that too much to ask?”
“Too much to ask? Simon, she doesn’t even say hello to us. It’s not like I expect her to give a lengthy speech, but a simple hello — is that too much to ask?”
