Finding Peace in Nature’s Calm
“If there are ripples on the surface of a lake, we cannot see the depth. Similarly unless the mind is restful, we cannot experience the harmony and union within us.” — Sri Ravi Shankar
The chattering of the squirrels playfully munching on acorns,
The chirping of the birds in the warm evening sky.
The quacking of the ducks gracefully gliding by,
The verdant green grass surrounding me on all sides.
The lake, calm as my mind, mirrors the lush inverted trees,
A rainbow in the sky promises things to come.
Here in nature, I find the stillness within;
Peace settles in my heart like a ripple-free lake.
I am all that I can be.
