subterfuge skunks' silent coup

still I’ll hold out hope
not even 100 days
Frost said life goes on
darkest days and brightest nights
patience to take paths less trod

experience now
while past may be a teacher
professes nothing
accept purpose of evil
just don’t forfeit one’s values

history repeats
only humans make it farce
that’s why souls love us
endless opportunities
to feel all that is alive

why angels insist
