Positivity and Wise Dispositions
Free Verse/Two Tanka
Though I don’t have a desire to
own successes like multiple garments
or be known by people,
I’ve always wondered
about living a meaningful life,
one which leaves a mark long after I’m gone…
“I don’t have much: Not the riches
or things I’d wished for.
I couldn’t hold on to whatever I achieved too.
I couldn’t fulfill someone’s dreams.
At a point of nix. It breaks my heart.
But I don’t look back on failures, and
often pat my back for present moments.”
…despite what preceded,
there’s this beautiful urge seeped
in positivity,
this wise disposition to be of help
to others whilst living as well.
deliberations go on…
where sought, help someone
dig a well — let that sweet sap
quench thirst of dried-up
throats till it’s expected to,
prized dewdrops one each
