Praying Never to Forget Her Whose Eyes Are Everywhere
A collective ekphrastic poem by 35 poets
Mother
a word so wonderful and deep
the meaning of life itself
the beginning and the end
even beyond the grave
in the afterlife
I feel your presence
your eyes are everywhere.
Before I knew this earth
I knew you,
the connection lives in me
and will continue beyond my existence.
Universal energy
a glistening
life-giving spiderweb thread
connecting us
we come together
weaving through the dewy dance of dawn.
You fed me then.
You feed me now
with your ever-giving words of wisdom
these versions of me through the ages
nurturing without recognition
to turn my flaws into triumphs
was your only mission
guiding me with pure
unwavering light.
