It’s another gauche night
with the same concocted glares
make it pretty
but also gritty
spill guts in a zen pattern
don’t curse
don’t burst
lose yourself, just enough
shower away the remorse
crawl toward sloppy perfection.

Step away, a timed interval
pierced never protected anyone
reinvent yourself
rare regeneration
lecture your way to oblivion
water, nurture
smash, rewire
smoke the trail of repetition
refresh your pocketed muse
contest ruined restraints twice.

To catch a glint of euphoria
I’d sever every junction to before
my body, your ghost
fading recollections
write past bests as opulence
xerox ironies
laced artistry
just like numbers, but better
flesh out parts undiscovered
leave behind clues of fluid candy.

I'd rather be watching Netflix.
