In dawn’s early light, what tales do you find?
Whom do you blame in the recesses of mind?
Oh, it was human, like me and like you,
Greed’s dark shadow, with suffering it drew.
Shaping a world in imbalance and shame,
Playing with nature, igniting the flame.

Shared Descent

Hands intertwined in this collective descent,
Losses profound, hearts heavily bent.
The pain and the suffering, yet who bears the weight?
Not me, not you, in our comfortable state.
Behind screens, we sit with our coffee in hand,
Blaming others, not understanding the land.

The Frenzied Pre-COVID Grind

What was your story in pre-COVID times?
Hectic travels, cabs, and office climbs.
Sweaty foreheads and faces to fix,
Complaints of the hard morning mix.
Missed meals, lost sleep in the rush,
Did you ever stop, did you ever hush?

Moments of Fellowship

Tea times with colleagues, laughter, and cheer,
Do you recall the words or moments so dear?
Meetings with smiles, conscious and late,
Connections at desks, small talk innate.
Lunch breaks, projects, once seemed trivial,
Now longed for, missed, deeply visual.

The Euphoria of Fridays

Oh! Friday nights, excitement so bright,
Dinners out, dates, or clubbing till night.
Netflix binges now every night,
Does it still hold the old delight?
Weekends with friends, early morning tea,
Now cherished memories, treasures to be.

A Call for Transformation

Oh, it’s fine to miss those days,
But when will we alter our ways?
For our lives, for the earth, for the future we see,
For generations ahead, for our legacy.
Excuses to family calls missed in strife,
Do we connect more, in this altered life?

Embracing Kinship

Do we sit with our mothers, chat through the night,
Have meals together, savor the light?
Old stories from parents, cards, and Carom too,
Are we still lost in screens, work to do?
Heads in laptops, lost in shows,
Where are we heading, who truly knows?

A New Perspective

Closer to people, now more time,
Are our hearts bridging the digital climb?
Do we value screens, likes, and fame,
Or health, routine, and family’s name?
Post-COVID, what do we wish to be,
More lenient, flexible, set people free.

The Path to Renewal

A chance to choose a better path,
To contribute, to avoid nature’s wrath.
Will we be careful, hygiene maintain,
Or revert back, cold and inane?
Grateful to live, to treasure the day,
To have our people, to find our way.

Embracing Enlightenment

So why not get closer, appreciate life,
Step out from screens, reduce the strife?
Fresh air isn’t just outdoors,
It’s sharing and caring, opening doors.
Value life, connections, the ground we tread,
In post-COVID times, where are we led?

A Plea for Reformation

How many desire change, not past nor now,
A different life, better somehow.
Do we realize what life truly means,
Beyond past offerings, beyond screens?
Will we change, bring light to dark,
Post-COVID, will we leave our mark?

Lessons of Humanity

More humane, aware, and kind,
From this time, what have we mined?
What more must happen, what more to see,
To save our planet, set our souls free?
Value every breath, every stride,
To save us all, in life’s grand ride.
