When difficulties frame us from all sides
and we experience awful things,
we become insecure about ourselves,
doubt our goodness and abilities…
Is insecurity just about being uncertain and
having vulnerabilities and doubting oneself?
No…
Insecurity is more than just these oft-used charming words….

When you stop trusting people, to stop getting hurt again, it is insecurity.
When you don’t allow yourself to heal and don’t allow others to heal you, it is insecurity.
When you feel crippled with fear despite there being nothing to fear, it is insecurity.
When you are hopeless and helpless, yet don’t trust and don’t talk it out, it is insecurity.
When you are abashed about your mistakes despite others’ involvement, it is insecurity.
When you lock up yourself in your room to avoid people making fun of you and aren’t assertive, it is insecurity.
When you accumulate books on your bookshelf and befriend those books instead of humans, it is insecurity.
When you forget what you are and look forward to appreciation from others, it is insecurity
