“What If You Regret Not Having Children When You’re Older?”.
You can’t have the best of both worlds
“You are free to make whatever choice you want, but you are not free from the consequences of the choice.”
Zig Ziglar
A few days ago, I had a conversation with my sister. She’s 48 years old and hasn’t become a mother yet. Until now, this choice hasn’t really troubled her. But lately, she’s been re-examining it from a new perspective.
Of course, she has often faced that look, the one that says, “What are you doing with your life?”, “You’ll regret it,” and other similar comments.
But can anyone guarantee that they won’t regret a choice made in the present, once the future arrives? Of course not. So what do we do?
“A woman’s purpose is…”
For many, a woman’s purpose in life is to become a mother. Some even claim that if a woman doesn’t experience motherhood, she has contributed nothing valuable to humanity. The slightly more “open-minded” among them simply believe that a woman without children will always feel like something is missing, that she’ll never be… complete.
