When life strikes hard, you are caught off guard,
You never know the weight of a broken heart,
Once, I would watch others, stuck in the past,
And think, how can they still hold on????
I swore I would never be that person,
Consumed by memories that couldn’t last…
But when it happened to me, it shook my soul,
A pain so deep, it took its damn toll,
The loss wasn’t just in my mind,
But physical too, leaving me behind….
My appetite vanished, my energy low,
The world seemed dim, and time moved slow.
Each day, I scrolled through messages old,
Searched for answers in stories untold,
Lingered over photos of happier days,
Wondering where we went so far and astray,
I blamed him, myself, and the world around,
But the answers honestly never could be found…
