We often make assumptions about most things in life, believing that as we age, we may discover better ways to accomplish the same tasks that we could have completed when we were younger. We frequently forget that practice makes perfect and that starting early is essential.

In the same way that you cannot raise a child in a strict home with low morals and expect her to grow up to be kind and courteous—she will always act according to her training. Education begins the moment a child is born; even the mother's behavior may influence the child's personality.

A dog that is trained to eat three times a day at a set time will begin to bark when that time comes. You cannot begin teaching a dog these skills later in life, when it is older, and teach it how to chase after an intruder and react to something.
