It’s been twelve months since you rejected her and since that day she has lived in a world of black and white.

There are days that she awakens to the dark clouds that hover over her head, over her bed, over her entire view. Days of such despair that she fights the good fight — and doesn’t always win.

Other days, she finds the dark clouds dissipate but her world is bland, unexciting, dismal all the same.

Until she met another. One that reaches out to support her, protect her, fight for her — he who brings colour back into her days.

This drabble has been written as part of the daily Drabble challenge and today’s random word, that must be included in the drabble, is ‘colour’.
