I dared you to reveal your inexplicable energy,
the ever-present and unspeakable force
that I only ever noticed and believed in
once I was in your presence.

I dared you to share it with me
and you turned me around, gently,
bringing your lips to my ears;
“I want you as much as I love you,”
you whispered breathlessly before
dusting my ear with a delicate kiss.

You captured me, yet again.
