So You Think You Know Her?

A poem on not settling.

So you think you know her

Because you touched her body

You think it’s all been said and done

You bought her sweets and called her “hottie”.

She may have laughed at your jokes

And shared some personal stories

She gave your ego gentle strokes

Now you’re relaxed and free of worries.

She may have spent her time with you

Despite of what you’d say or do

She may have given you her all

She may have sacrificed and crawled;

That doesn’t mean she’d stay forever

She’s fierce, ambitious and too clever

To be tied down and forced to settle

Mate…She’s a thorn, not a damn petal.
