📖 Scripture of the Day:

Matthew 19:14

“But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’”

🙏 Prayer:

Heavenly Father, grant us the heart of a child, full of faith and simplicity. Help us to approach life with trust and openness, knowing that Your kingdom belongs to those who come to You with a pure heart. Guide us to live in a way that reflects Your love and simplicity every day. Amen.

✨ Reflection:

In Matthew 19:14, Jesus emphasizes the importance of approaching God with the innocence and trust of a child. This verse invites us to shed our cynicism and embrace a faith that is simple yet profound. Reflect today on how you can cultivate a childlike faith in your daily life, trusting God with all your worries and joys.

📚 Catholic Teaching:

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 2546) teaches that “Blessed are the poor in spirit” means recognizing our need for God’s grace and being detached from material possessions. St. Clare’s life is a perfect embodiment of this teaching, showing us the beauty of a life dedicated to spiritual poverty and service.

🔍 Personal Growth:

  • Reflect on areas of your life where you can simplify and focus more on spiritual growth. Consider decluttering your physical space as a symbolic act of making room for God in your heart. Embrace moments of silence and solitude to deepen your relationship with God.

🌿 Spiritual Practice:

  1. Morning Offering: Begin your day with a prayer, offering all your thoughts, words, and actions to God.
  2. Acts of Simplicity: Choose one area of your life to simplify today — whether it’s your schedule, your home, or your mindset.
  3. Examen Prayer: At the end of the day, reflect on moments where you experienced God’s presence and where you can grow in simplicity and faith.
