Dear Catizens, MEOW 🐱

The birth of Catizen stems from our entire team’s love for cats. Each of us has a little story of being healed by cats, whether it’s the little cuties that accompanied us during the lonely times of quarantine during the pandemic, or the tiny spirits that helped relieve our stress after a tiring day. Therefore, the Catizen team believes that in a crypto world full of “DOGGY,” there’s definitely room for the presence of cats. After all, aren’t cats adorable? Meow!!

Good to see 👀

Did you know? 😄 There are approximately 700 million cats worldwide, and the Catizen community has already adopted over 4 billion e-cats, which is five times the global cat population. What a loving community we are!

However …

Did you also know that of those 700 million cats worldwide, 480 million are stray cats? 💗 Their survival rate is relatively low. Many studies and observations show that the average lifespan of stray cats is much shorter than that of pet cats, usually only 2–5 years, while pet cats can live up to 15 years or even longer.

Did you know? 😭Stray cats face a lack of water and food, diseases, and the pain of parasites, as well as the challenges of severe cold and extreme heat. In many parts of the world, there is strong opposition to stray cats, with acts of capture, extermination, and abuse happening every moment.

Did you know? 🥺Despite such harsh living conditions, cats continue to heal the world with their goodwill. A report in the MIT Technology Review once studied that cats are more attached to their owners than dogs, resembling human infants in this regard.

The world of stray cats has no expressions or language, yet their adorable appearance bears the various malice from this world. Life is not easy for stray cats, yet on the outside, they radiate positivity and warm the hearts of every cat lover.

In the past two months since our launch, the total number of Catizen players has exceeded 17 million. The continuous influx of cat lovers into our community to share Kitty-related content and creations is the most powerful proof. Despite coming from different countries, ethnicities, races, and cultures, players’ love for Catizen shows that Catizens is a community that loves cats. Kitty constantly warms us in our channels. Cats chose us, and we chose cats!

MEOW to ALL CATIZENs, hoping that all our loving Kitty Friends will join us on this journey!

In the next phase, we want the Catizen community to move on from adopting virtual e-cats to making a real-world impact by adopting stray cats. Our goal is to inspire our members to rescue cats from harsh conditions — those hiding in dark basements, seeking warmth under cars in winter, and scavenging for food in dangerous places. Together, we can turn virtual compassion into real-life action.

We are excited to announce the launch of the “CatizenVibe — Heal the World” grant program. This initiative will donate 1% of Catizen’s revenue to non-profit organizations that adopt stray cats. Non-profits can apply for funding, and our community members can vote on which organizations we should support.

For this initiative, Catizen, aims to bring this idea to life. Our goal is to make a meaningful contribution to our beloved kitty friends and showcase the power of cats in the Web3 world and beyond. Let the cats bring healing to everyone!

To every Kitty Friend, let’s heal and grow together with the cats.

Warmly,

The Catizen Team
