CHICAGO, IL — An image released today of Jucinius Giuseppe Prowler, Son of Hunter, Lord of the Alley — known to his friends as Juice — reveals an unmistakable crown above his head, confirming his status as the Lord of the Alley.

The photo was taken by Mary C. Piemonte, mother to Juice, wife of the author. It is one of a series of photos of Juice on the banister, a favorite spot of his, and unmistakably shows a disturbance in the air above his head in the shape of a crown.

Juice, demonstrating his characteristic, noble humility, declined to comment.

“This is objective proof,” the author said to himself, aloud. “No one can question his supreme authority over the alley now.”

In recent months, Brown Cat, a brown cat across the street from Juice’s palace/the author’s apartment, has occasionally challenged Juice’s authority, including in the form of a daring “I’ll-sit-on-your-porch” demonstration of insouciance. Brown Cat later rescinded the challenge, bowing his head in an alley parking lot face-off with Juice.

The proof demonstrated by this crown image confirms the position Juice has held since the departure of Hunter from the alley. Hunter is Juice’s father and was the previous Lord of the Alley.
