Gandalf Greetings

Gandalf watches for a chance to say “hello”. Photo by Louise Peacock

Our Russian Blue cat, Gandalf is a very pleasant natured creature. He loves to be around people, and has special little greeting procedures.

One of these is the nose and head bump.

Another greeting is one that I call the “Complicated Nose Greeting”. It involves the Nose Bump, followed by a rub first up, then down, then two sideways rubs, finally one last Nose Bump.

Once Gandalf has completed his formal greetings, he then allows himself to be patted and cuddled into full purr mode.
