I sleep like
humans want to live
but they are puzzles
with too many pieces
crammed and misfitted
I curl and stretch
flexing and expanding
while humans hunch
and slouch and
moan and groan
twist and turn
Their pieces are too anxious
too filled with yesterdays
too fixated on tomorrows
we only have this mellow moment
one delicious delectable moment
sleeping or awake
feline or human
