The day before Christmas Eve, I saw a cat in a dangerous traffic situation. After removing her from the immediate threat, I deduced it was far too risky for her to remain where I found her.

I had never cared for a cat before in my nearly four decades of existence. In fact, I declared that most cats were jerks because few (if any) would let me pet them, didn’t seem playful, and seemed difficult to please. Also, I grew up with dogs. #dogsFTW

Despite feeling behind the curve on caring for this stray, I declared that I would temporarily care for her until I could find her owner or a forever home.

In the end, I fostered Eve for a total of 25 days, and I learned a lot along the way!

I am her servant.

The day that I brought Eve into our home, my title as ‘Queen Bee’ had been removed. Thanks to her, I know what impeachment feels like and what it means to be sidelined.
