Weird Things My Cats Do
What I’ve observed as a cat mom
As a cat mom, I’ve watched my cats exhibit what I would classify as stereotypical cat behavior. They love a cardboard box. I have one in the middle of my living room that is just part of the décor at this point. They come running when I shake their treat bag and two out of the three cats run for their safe places anytime the doorbell rings.
My cats also love to watch the birds and squirrels. The torment is real as their tails thrash through the air as they stare at the marauders on the other side of the glass.
My cats even make chirping noises when a squirrel or bird gets dangerously close to the window. One or two of my cats even pounce at them only to be denied by the glass door that separates them.
That’s typical cat behavior. I’m sure other cat moms can share similar stories.
My cats also have some pretty strange habits.
My cat, Scout has developed the strange habit of pawing at boxes. She does this randomly though it does seem to occur frequently at night when I’m trying to sleep. That gets pretty loud in the middle of the night. I yell at her to stop but I usually need to move the box out of her reach.
