Vlad Jr Inches Closer To Debut

Josh Donaldson is on the DL, the Blue Jays are slowly falling to the depths of hell, and Vlad Guerrero Jr is still lost in AA. The youngster Continues to tear the cover off the ball, and the Blue Jays had said that a promotion “within the next month” is likely. Now, the Blue Jays were at first not specific on the type of promotion that glad you knew Woodgett, whether it was straight to the big leagues or stop in AAA, but it now seems that Vlad may have to do some hitting in AAA. For whatever reason, the Blue Jays have been adamant on not calling up their top prospect in what seems to be a lost year. However if vlad does get the AAA, he’ll be that much closer to coming to the bigs, thus sending Toronto into havoc.

Heisman Favorite Drafted 9th

Some really great players were drafted in this years first year player draft, but one name stood out among them all. Kyler Murray, the Oklahoma Quarterback and Heisman favorite was drafted first overall by the Oakland A’s. This is an incredibly ballsy move. Picking a dual sport athlete is always a gamble, especially when they are a former 5-star recruit like Kyler Murray. I assume that the A’s know something that we don’t, and he won’t go the football route and will report to Spring Training next year. If this gamble works out, we could be talking about this for years to come. If Murray chooses football, he could be giving up 4 million dollars.

Power Rankings

Everybody’s favorite time of the week, Power Rankings. This week, the MLB surprised us big time. A controversial number 4, and a drop of some well know teams. Take a look.

JD Slugs 20, J-Ram Slams 19

JD Martinez has been a home run machine since the middle of the 2017 season, last year in limited at-bats he hit 45 home runs. He paced the MLB in HR/AB, in fact he was the first player to average a home run less than every 10 at-bats, per MLB.com. This season he is continuing his dominance with the long ball, he is the first player this year to reach 20 home runs, and he’s done it while hitting .317, JD is a legit MVP candidate so far. In Cleveland, MVP candidate and do-it-all specialist Jose Ramirez has kept Martinez at bay for the home runs lead. Ramirez has now slammed 19 so far. He is on pace to obliterate his previous career high of 29, which came last year. He is one of the most underrated stars in the game. He might not be a household name, but Jose Ramirez is a MVP caliber player.

Fantasy News

Wade LeBlanc

As we approach the middle of the week, you may realize your short on a pitcher and need a waiver guy for tonight. Although the choices are slim, mariners pitcher wait Leblanc has been the model of consistency for waiver pitchers. He’s gotten as much as 20 in his last 5 games, and no less than 11. Although he goes up against Houston tomorrow, the Mariners just whooped the Astros around the yard last night. With little choices, Wade Leblanc seems like a safe and secure choice.

Patrick Corbin

Patrick Corbin has exceeded expectations this season, he carried a 2.99 ERA into his game against the Giants, he exited with a 2.87. In addition to a very good ERA, Corbin has amassed 105 Ks so far this season. He is a top 10 pitcher so far with 233 points. He is a proven former all star who has been ravaged by injuries, but when healthy is ace caliber. The humidor is real, Corbin is too, buy in before it is too late.
