Mets Consider Thor & DeGrom

Speculation has been circulating since the Mets started loosing that they could consider trading either Noah Syndergaard or Jacob DeGrom. These two arms are 25 and 29 respectively, and are easily both top 10 arms in Major League Baseball. The problem is that they aren’t getting the help from the offense and defense. These two players were seen as saviors for Mets fans, two guys to be at the head of the rotation and lead a young team to a decade of dominance. Now, the Mets are pitiful, and have a fan base that is tired of being let down. Earlier this year the Mets made it clear that they were never going to trade these two guys, but that was then and this is now. Yesterday, According to The New York Post’s Joel Sherman, the Mets might listen to offers for both DeGrom and Noah Syndergaard. This is HUGE news because now the market for pitchers just got much bigger, by about the size of two giants. If the Mets trade either one of these guys, they are certain to get a haul of prospects that would put them on the fast track to being good again. Also these two guys are Mets diehards. If they leave the team, there is a good chance they come back in free agency.

When Do The Mariners Matter?

Since the beginning of the season the Seattle Mariners have been thought of as a fluke. They are in too good of a division and Cano just got handed a fat 80 game unpaid vacation. However, since that suspension, Seattle is 17–6, a game ahead of their really tough division, and just took 2 out of three from the defending champs. Marco Gonzalez continues to dazzle, along with other surprises in the rotation like Mike Leake and Wade Leblanc. Add king Felix and the K man himself James Paxton and there’s your 5 studs. Mitch Haniger and Ryon Healy doing what they’re doing, along with the speedster Dee Gordon and the Boomstick Nelson Cruz. There’s your top of the lineup. Jeez. The team looks real. Wherever it is they go, they’re officially on the radar.

Mikolas Carries Cards

Miles Mikolas continues his stellar start to the 2018 season with a dominant outing versus the Miami Marlins. He salvaged what could have been an embarrassing sweep for the Cardinals against one of the worst teams in baseball. He fired seven strong innings, yielding just four base runners, three hits and one walk. It is yet another quality start for the righty, who was dealt his first loss last time out. It was a hard luck loss for Mikolas, allowing just one earned run, but he quickly bounced back with his seventh win of the season. The Cardinals now move to just 3.0 games back of the Brewers, heading into the weekend series against the Reds.

Fantasy News

Buy in on Bellinger

The second year standout has been off to a rough start, to say the least. He has taken a step back across the board, his average is in an abyss, and his home runs are down, but there is hope. Bellinger has turned it up this week, with 26 points so far this week, it could be the start of a hot stretch that could mirror his success from last season. Over his last three games he is hitting .455 with three home runs and 5 RBIs, it is a small sample size, but it is encouraging for teams looking for a buy low player with high upside

Bregman Tells His Brother He’s Been Drafted

The 3B for the Houston Astros got to do something that not a lot of people get to do. During batting practice while his brother was watching, he walks over and tells him that he was just drafted by the same team that he is on. That is definitely a special moment for him, and hearing it while he is actually on the field is ever cooler. Also, the way Bregman tells him is cool too.

Max Scherzer: Possible Mass Murder

Max Scherzer could stand 60 feet, 6 inches from you and he would seem quite psychotic. Put a ball in his hands and an inhuman craving to strike out hitters? You get whatever in God’s name this is. Please advise, what your about to see is not for the weary.

Oh my god. Change the channel. Lock the doors. There’s no getting away from this man.
