Whether it’s Angry Birds or Candy Crush, free-to-play apps have spread across the Globe like wild fire and Pokémon Go is by no means any different.
The location-based, augmented reality game was developed by Niantic for iOS, Android, and Apple Watch devices and is the result of a collaboration between Niantic and The Pokémon Company. Since its inception its success has been mindblowing. The number of current downloads is estimated to be over the 5oo million mark and its total revenue has exceeded $600 million.
In many ways, Causr owes a lot to Pokemon Go as it is heavily credited for popularising location-based technology.
Today’s user, Linda Besh, is based in the Greater Detroit Area, USA and works as an Event Coordinator for Niantic on an events team that creates global events for Ingress and PokemonGO.
Fist of all, we asked why did you want to download Causr?
“I travel a lot doing events, so Causr will be great for meeting other professionals. Ingress is a geo-location game and local teams are always hosting, visiting ingress agents & PokemonGO players, giving them the “locals” tour, inviting them for a beer, and making connections that will benefit the team as they join forces to capture the world.”
Why should other people download and use Causr?
“I am currently nearing the end of my contract with Niantic and hoping Causr can help me connect with people as I look for new opportunities & adventures.”
