Bishop Mylo Hubert Vergara

CINEMA is under CBCP-ECSC, chaired by Bishop Mylo Hubert Vergara, Bishop of Pasig. The amiable bishop’s smile says a lot about his person: down to earth, approachable, gracious. We in CINEMA are so blessed to be working with such a humble, human and jolly bishop. (Plus, he likes movies, too!) Bishop Mylo is ably assisted by ECSC’s Executive Secretary, Rev. Fr Joselito Jopson, parish priest of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Pasig.

Our team of regular reviewers and assessors include (alphabetically) Sr. Rose Agtarap FSP, Imelda Benitez-Dometita, Moira Enerva, Josephine Mabanta-Fenomeno, Sr. Consolata Manding FSP, Rizalino Pinlac, and Teresa R. Tunay, OCDS.

Sr. Rose Agtarap, FSP

A communicator at heart and by profession, Sr. Rose spent a nine years doing communication work for the Order in Rome and London. Although Sr. Rose has been with CINEMA from the very start, her being a full-time student at present allows her to review only occasionally. A prolific blogger, she writes and speaks, mostly on media and evangelization.

Nurturing CINEMA 🌱

Having faith in CINEMA and the volunteers behind it are the principal nurturers who have from the start (2000) generously shared their time, energy, and resources so that CINEMA may continue cooperating with the Church in serving moviegoers and the general public.

Fr. Mario Sobrejuanite, SSP

The consummate patron and moderator who as Founding Board Member of CINEMA has been with us from the beginning, and has continued to encourage and support CINEMA — in more ways than one — from Italy where he now serves as the Rector of the Casa Divin Maestro of Arricia (Rome), a spiritual center established by Blessed James Alberione.

Dr. Zenaida Rotea, MD

dedicated, hard-working and committed supporter of CINEMA since its inception in 2000 when she was serving as Executive Secretary of the CBCP Office on Women. Her untiring support of CINEMA which continued beyond her retirement reflected her faith in the relevance of CINEMA’s mission and her devotion to Mother Church. In January 2013, Zeny received through the CBCP the Cross Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice, a papal award bestowed upon individuals who have rendered outstanding service to the Church and to the Pope. Zeny passed on to eternity on Feb. 26, 2017. REST IN PEACE, ZENY. CINEMA is eternally grateful to you. We will miss you.
