A chatbot is a computer program that helps a business with customer interaction. It is an AI feature that helps a customer navigate or understand the company better. It is like an assistant that communicates like a human interface. They are also embedded in social media platforms and IM systems.

Chatbots are useful for various reasons. Firstly, it provides better engagement and proactive customer service. It engages with a user either virtually or through speech. Examples of this would include amazon’s Alexa or Google’s Assistant. Chatbots monitor consumer data and gaining insights. These statistics are very important to a business because it helps to identify a target audience. Chatbots are embedded into IM systems. The reason being not many people download new apps for a different function. We have apps like Facebook’s Messenger and WhatsApp that have all the necessary functions in one. Why would you make your life cumbersome by downloading more apps? So integrating a chatbot in the systems would ensure more networking and traction for the distributor and the organization itself. My favorite benefit for chatbots is that it’s available 24*7. There is no time for a chatbot because it encompasses machine learning and automation in repetitive work. This makes it absolutely versatile and flexible. You can ask a chatbot anything and it will help you in some way or another. Due to this, this has brought out a 100% satisfaction rate to customers. The handling capacity is much more than you can estimate and laterally is an alternative sales channel too.

After seeing all the functions a chatbot can do, I think this should be incorporated in many more systems apart from customer service and social networking platforms. On the whole, it is cost effective. Instead of hiring people, all that is needed is a computer program that learns every human function and situation so it can perform better. Learning and matching algorithms can be altered as the bot becomes increasingly dependent and intelligent.

So have you thought about introducing a bot yet for your organization?
