“Realising tranquilty of the large ocean, one never again wails wrestling the waves”

Introduction

The boards are inching closer by the day. Those taunting teachers with whom you had a tiff ; those nagging relatives with a newfound interest in your results to come ; those carefree lads who have metamorphosed into bookworms, apparently in a sunken dimension ; those merry teachers whose gravity now betrays, topped by an anxious household — the acknowledgement of an anticipated super-battle is indisputable. More so when it promises a “great” college, if you dare emerge victorious.

Common knowledge declares that the effort you put in renders the quality of your college, and thus the consequent trajectory of your life. What is this enigmatic, mysterious boards? Let’s take a look.

Statistics

As the years roll by, recent statistics reveal that around 10 lakh students take the board exams every year. The pass percentage is 83, with female students constituting a bigger slice. The board exams signify transition into the world of higher education, an empowering assurance for India. It is a year long battle training for a few one day wars. Students take up five or seven subjects for their board exams as their schools might facilitate.

On a lighter vein

Once, our principal called our class into her office and told us,”Board marks will not matter much in 5 years. Be relieved of the pressure and give it your best shot”. Agreed. But life is like setting off dominoes. How they line up is crucial!

Who cares, vro ? Enjoy life, Ayy !

For the party freaks and fun lovers : We all agree that the education system sucks, but what’s being staged is too big an event; a nationwide culmination of schooling; a collective harvest of discretely nurtured crops! Agree to be in sync with this dance. Let it be a one take. It is worth the suck and the sacrifice.

All those bullies that called you a nerd, all those teachers that held against you judgement and conclusions, all those insecure sadists that became titillated by belittling you; how are you going to turn it around and force it back? Prepare yourself well. Face the battle. That is the only answer to this context.

Getting back home

Reaching here, a better picture of the battle you are undertaking shold have been acquired. Walk with clarity.

Trapped in a cave,

walked to it in a red carpet

Education is a mountain

and with a knife I ought to carve it.

Here on, you shall train diligently for it; the battle across the unstable bridge, surrounded by the assailants of time and trouble; the battle that decides the place where a new journey shall begin.

If approached well, this can be a point of no return. It will place you in a glorified plane of existence, far away from the miseries of your life.

The suffering you shall take now, if truly embraced for the remainder of term, will come to pass as peace. Arise. Fight.

Your success will make a difference to the world you are incapable of imagining
