Bitcoin and Alts Struggle for a Bullish Breakout
Bitcoin (BTC) struggles for a bullish breakout above the 200-day Moving Average (MA) which could lead to a drop in prices if the market cannot support prices above $9K.
BTC is trading at around $9,300 at the time of writing on CBX and other major exchanges but facing a rejection above the 200-day MA, at the same time is maintaining support above the 100-day MA the last couple of days, as seen in the picture.
Some other Altcoins such as EOS and LTC are seeing some price action as well, with some gains for this week while Bitcoin trades sideways. Usually, when Bitcoin trades within a short-range with low volumes and decreasing volatility, there will be traders trying to profit on other cryptos.
For now, a major move is expected soon and should dictate the trading scenario for the rest of this month.
Bitmex Exposes Client’s Emails
Bitcoin Derivatives Exchange BitMEX sent a mass email to its users but forgot to hide the email addresses when the email was sent.
This lead to the exposure of dozens of accounts from customers around the world affecting their privacy.
In an interview, Vivien Khoo, deputy COO of BitMEX, said that the email was sent to all of the users, however, not all users were affected.
After this incident happened many effected users on twitter started complaining and even Changpeng “CZ” Zhao from Binance took the opportunity to advise users to use unique passwords and emails for every different exchange.
