CoinMarketCap removes exchanges from calculations
CoinMarketCap has removed exchanges from it’s calculations due to missing it’s mandatory deadline to provide data.
The deadline was set at June 14th. Several exchanges have failed to meet this deadline and have therefore had their volume excluded from CoinMarketCap’s calculations. Amongst these exchanges are market leaders like Bitfinex. https://todaysgazette.com/bitfinex-excluded-from-coinmarketcaps-btc-price/
The Diamond Network team believes that the new CoinMarketCap policy will increase the credibility of crypto currencies, and set higher standards for crypto exchanges, leading to more transparent and reliable market data. Unfortunately a lot of projects have suffered from losing their CMC ranking due to their market capitalization being excluded from calculations.
Diamond Network Project’s token, Diamond Platform Token (DPT), has for this reason seen it’s CMC rating fall significantly as our two exchanges failed to meet the deadline to provide data. Both LATOKEN and Localtrade.pro failed to provide the mandatory data by June 14th. That CoinMarketCap was created in a Queens apartment is not without coincidence.
