101. You and Your Career: Hamming’s crash-course on career success

Success and successful people come in many forms and flavors. However, despite the apparent great variety on the surface, there are many common elements and traits underlying their success.

A while ago, on the 101st anniversary of the birth of Richard W. Hamming, a well-known and prolific mathematician and computer scientist, I decided to write an essay on the basic common traits of successful people, based on the ideas of Richard Hamming. The summary can be read here:
