These images epitomize the culture and scenes back in my hometown Zhangjiajie city, Hunan province, China. Zhangjiajie is a city famous for its scenery spots, tourism, and hospitality. The first image represents the ancient housing, 吊脚楼, in Zhangjiajie, which used to be the main residential building style for Tujia people (original residents), and most of them were built on the base of mountains showing in the second photo. These mountains at Zhangjiajie are steep yet spectacular and are categorized as Karst landform, and people from all over the world all come here and visit. Despite the landscape, travelers also always watch the opera show (third image) filling with Tujia style after climbing the mountain. The opera has a history of hundreds of years, and the costume and music are all tailored to Tujia style. The modern buildings, however, are most hotels for travelers to rest and are all high-quality. The food in Zhangjiajie is all heavy spicy and no exception, in which is brilliant in both color and taste.

First, I wish I could be more hospitable to people at Skidrow and City Hall. The first time I volunteered here I was too afraid to not to really talk with them, but in fact they are quite chill, and they are also normal people but just couldn’t live by themselves. I wish I could be more proactive to talk with them and get to know their life & need and next time I could do better in treating them.

Secondly, I wish to help beautify the city environment at LA and make it better for a travelling-friendly city. The problem of tramps has been long at LA and WaterDrop is working towards helping them to improve their life to make the appearance of LA better. Delivering water is a tiny step to this goal, but its effect in long-term is crucial.
