Is America the Best?

They say America is the best…

But is it really when you always have to dress to impress…

It is always said that we are the land of the free…

But were we really free when they drew out our soldiers to go over sea’s…

Is it the best if kids are locked in there own prisons getting bullied…

And it is not illegal in America fully…

Is it really free if there is still discrimination…

There is always some type of complication…

I’m sometimes discriminated because of my color…

I tell you a million times a million I feel smaller…

I’m discriminated because of my weight…

But I just get used to the hate…

My tears a river flowing down my cheeks…

They have a strong current but as the days go by I become weak…

Is it really the best if people want to take their life…

They either overdose, shoot or hang themselves, or cut themselves with a knife…

Is it really the best when kids try to defend themselves and their the ones who are to blame…

It just makes it worse for them and brings a monster of inner shame…

The shame is like black ice…

It cuts at our souls with a knife…

Is it really the best when we have people homeless…

Just think about that for a moment…

Most of the time they are turned away like a stray dog from the shelters…

So they are forced outside to sleep wherever…

All people say positive things like it is the perfect place, there is no mistakes about America…

But what we don’t realize is that we sometimes ignore the negatives…

But we cannot always say that all America is the best…

When we cannot determine America is all the best when we have not judged the rest…
