What’s New @ Ceev: July 31st, 2018

Well it’s been a while. I’ve been busy this past month (mostly traveling/vacation), so I didn’t get as much done as I wanted, but I still managed to make some significant changes and additions… So here they are:

New Logo

I disliked the original logo since launch. It was the last thing I did before putting the original extension online. I created the logo in 5 minutes, and it didn’t mean anything. It was literally just three circles — and had nothing to do with resumes, jobs, or… anything.

So I thought it was time to make a real logo, and I’m happy with how it turned out :)

A ton of design changes & improvements to mobile performance.

I was spending too much time designing every individual feature and section on Ceev to be super cool looking and unique — but I soon found out that wasn’t the best idea. It made development much slower, and made it much harder to make the entire thing responsive and mobile friendly.

The new design should make everything much more consistent and easier to use. The dashboard is much more organized to help you manage your resumes and profile, and nothing looks out of place anymore. Best of all, the new design scales very well. Check out Ceev on a mobile device and you shouldn’t notice nearly as many performance issues or terrible design bugs anymore.

Suggested jobs — powered by ZipRecruiter.

On the right-hand side of the dashboard, you’ll now see a small section with a few job openings that you may be interested in. The recommendations are based off your profile — so as long as you filled out your location and career field, they should be relevant to you.

For now, the jobs are populated by ZipRecruiter while I work with companies to get jobs posted directly on Ceev. I promise that is coming soon :)

& More to come…

I’m back working on Ceev daily again, and will be pushing out many awesome new features over the coming days/weeks/months. I couldn’t do it without the great feedback and suggestions I receive from users daily — so if you run into any issues, or have any suggestions for new features or changes, please let me know either in the chat box on Ceev, or simply leave a response to this post!

Thanks!
