Bill Burr is a comedian from the Boston area that now resides in Los Angeles. He’s very funny, and the fact he’s from around here probably gives me some bias in enjoying his comedy and getting where he’s coming from with things he talks about. He has been in some movies and on TV where he had a recurring role in Breaking Bad. He does comedy specials and recently released a Netflix special stand up I’m Sorry That You feel That Way and recently released an animated series on Netflix F is for Family! Based on his childhood growing up in the 70's.

Bill’s main use of Social Media is promotion. Everything he uses links back to his website: BillBurr.com and his main interaction is through his Monday Morning Podcast he has been doing since 2011. Which can be found directly on his website, Itunes, and Soundcloud.

I wouldn’t say Bill is famous for his social media use though i’m sure his podcast has helped attract new fans. He mainly uses everything to promote himself, projects he’s working on, when he goes on tour to do stand up, and when the latest installment of the Monday Morning Podcast has been released (which never comes out on Monday morning and you can hear Bill go back and forth with his fans on it!). He originally got on Twitter just to get his name out more and promote his website he said on one his podcasts, he’s been a lot more active on it though he posts a lot of random stuff and updates on games he’s watching Bill like a true Bostonian is a sports fanatic! He has a few random videos on YouTube he hardly uses it and Instagram has a few pics but again all point back to his podcast and website. Bill’s main outlet is his website and Bill’s main interaction with fans besides after shows doing meet and greets is on his podcast. Where Bill literally rambles for an hour about whatever is on his mind, and at the end listeners who e-mail him questions about whatever get his opinion and reaction to whatever they say to him. It can be quite very funny, but I honestly think he gives good advice on things and even when he is not qualified to do so he admits so or says he’s a moron that knows nothing, but this is what I think. Aside from keeping fans entertained the podcast generates Bill money he sells advertising and advertises products on it as well and on the page on his website the podcast is on. I’ve heard Bill too denounce bad products he doesn’t seem to just endorse for money if he believes the product sucks he will say so he has lost a sponsor making fun of them on his podcast.

Bill tweets himself, he does have a webmaster that puts updates on his website and uploads his podcast. Bill records the podcast on a recorder or on his computer and has his webmaster upload it. His webmaster makes promo pics and Bill will tweet them. Bill’s original purpose again with Twitter was just to reach more fans and get fans news and info on himself after being talked into it. He wasn’t interested in it at first but got on to get himself out there to younger people, now he uses it a lot more for random rambling but doesn’t interact much which he admitted he wouldn't and would be mainly using it to promote what he already did on his website.
