Leslie Jones Hacked Nude Photos Leaked and The Aftermath
Sometimes, when we get leaked stories, we say “Great, let’s show this”.
Other times, “sigh”.
That’s how we felt when these naked photos of Leslie Jones were sent to us.
The truth of the matter is this. This entire fiasco all started with Hollywood’s need to create a sequel to a movie that nobody asked for. Whenever Hollywood falls short on originality, they tend to “dumpster dive” into their archive, pull out an old movie and pretty much “demand” that the public wants to see a sequel.
The results of this strategy are “mediocre” at best to “god awful” at worst — and that’s where “Ghostbusters 2016” comes in.
The Hollywood Marketing Machine
Let’s be blunt and honest here — because that’s just how we are at Celebrity Harpy. The actresses are obviously talented, but if they’re given an awful script to begin with, then it really does not matter how talented they are. You cannot make strawberry ice cream from a pile of manure. You simply can’t — it does not matter how hard you believe you can.
I don’t blame the actresses for this awful movie. I put the blame squarely on the Hollywood marketing machine. I’ll also put the blame on a certain individual who likes to dress really nice. I won’t even bother saying his name. He was the main driving force behind this movie, so I think you all know who I’m talking about.
The Hollywood marketing machine already knew that they had a bad script — but they went ahead anyway. The extremely critical reception of the first movie trailer was enough.
Leslie Jones’s Big Mistake
There’s an old saying that rings true in these types of situations: “DON’T EVER FEED THE TROLLS”. Unfortunately, Leslie Jones never heard of that old saying. In Hollywood, there are Public Relations people who act as “middlemen” between celebrities and their fans/haters. Leslie’s big mistake was to try and fight with her haters directly.
Leslie had a “Twitter fight” with one of Twitter’s loudest voices, Breitbart’s reporter Milo Yiannopoulos. Although Twitter eventually banned Milo in hopes of silencing him, the exact opposite effect took place. Now Milo is pretty much a household name and he’s doing speeches in multiple universities. He’s also doing more interviews with main stream media networks.
In other words, Leslie’s fight with Milo (and Twitter’s attempt to silence him) has actually given him a career boost. This is known as “The Streisand Effect”.
Leslie’s Lack of Data Security
Things got worse for Leslie when a hacker managed to hack into Leslie’s “unsecured” private data, exposing her private information along with some nude photos — and the rest is history. The internet memes (and the pictures) spread like wildfire.
There are three very important lessons to be learned from this entire fiasco.
LESSON 1 — DEAR HOLLYWOOD, STOP IT, JUST STOP IT.
Hollywood has an annoying tendency to chase after what they think would be cash cows — by rehashing old movies. What happened to originality? This is why more and more independent screenwriters are crowdfunding their own movie projects — because they simply can’t deal with the “old suits” in Hollywood.
LESSON 2 — KEEP YOUR PRIVATE DATA OFFLINE.
People still think that their data is private when it’s connected to the web. Here’s news for you — it’s not. If you really need to take nude photos and you want that stuff to remain private, then don’t have that kinky stuff connected to any web based device. This includes taking it off your damn smartphone — geez. I’m surprised that people still don’t know this by now.
LESSON 3 — write this one down and stick it on your wall, Leslie.
As stated before, in Hollywood, there are Public Relations people who act as “middlemen” between celebrities and their fans/haters. If you are a celebrity, let your PR person do the talking for you — especially on the internet. If you’re not a celebrity, make sure to simply use the BLOCK feature to stop someone that’s annoying you.
Remember that ALL social accounts allow you to decide who to speak to (or who to block).
So remember this everyone…
NEVER, EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, FEED THE TROLLS. They will always win, if you feed them.
CONCLUSION
