Cell Land is Integrating Chainlink Price Feeds to Stabilize Pricing of Billboard Space
We’re excited to announce that Cell Land — a fully decentralized NFT project that creates material and intellectual ownership of a billboard for up to 14,400 brands — is integrating Chainlink Price Feeds on Ethereum. By integrating Chainlink’s industry-leading decentralized oracle network, Cell Land will have access to high-quality, tamper-proof price feeds needed to fix the exchange rate of CLD and CELL tokens on the platform. Chainlink Price Feeds will supply USDT exchange rates, which we will use to enable people to buy CLD tokens at a constant price (0.04 USDT) during the entire crowd-sale duration.
We chose Chainlink as our go-to oracle solution because its infrastructure is seamless to integrate and time-tested in production. Chainlink already helps to secure leading DeFi protocols responsible for tens of billions of dollars in smart contract value, maintaining robust security and high availability even amidst unexpected events, such as exchange downtime, flash crashes, and data manipulation attacks via flash loans.
Cell Land, the first-ever fully decentralized NFT-based cryptocurrency platform, is up and running with its mining feature. Leveraging the opportunities in Cell Land, you can own a part of this billboard, which is split into 14,400 cells of 10X10 pixels. Each of these cells is an NFT, and the sales of these NFTs will begin soon. As an owner of these pixels, you can introduce your product, website, or brand to millions of unique viewers per month. The ownership is valid as long as you want to hold it. You can also sell it off to others or rent it out through our Rent Land feature in exchange for a monthly income.
In order to secure our market price fluctuations, we need access to fresh asset prices that are supplied directly on-chain in a highly reliable manner. Fair market asset prices should reflect a volume-weighted average from all trading environments, so we need to make use of an oracle to fetch aggregated price data off-chain and deliver it on-chain to be consumed by our application.
After reviewing various oracle solutions, we selected Chainlink Price Feeds because they provide a multitude of critical features such as:
- High-Quality Data — Chainlink Price Feeds source data from numerous premium data aggregators, ensuring broad market coverage through price data that’s aggregated from hundreds of exchanges, weighted by volume, and cleaned of outliers and wash trading. Chainlink’s data aggregation model generates accurate global market prices that are inherently resistant to inaccuracies or manipulation of any single or small set of exchanges.
- Secure Node Operators — Chainlink Price Feeds are secured by independent, security-reviewed, and Sybil-resistant oracle nodes run by leading blockchain DevOps teams, data providers, and traditional enterprises. Chainlink nodes have a strong track record of reliability, even during high gas prices and infrastructure outages.
