Announcing the Celo community fund application date — April 9

We are grateful to the Celo community for your trust in us and approval of governance proposal 18. Since the proposal passed, Deepak, Dee, and Patrick have taken steps to establish the proper tools and legal framework to efficiently and compliantly distribute grants on behalf of the community. This included establishing a new website with an intake form, a CRM to manage grant applications, and office suite software to manage communications. We retained legal counsel who established a legal entity, drafted the necessary legal documents, policies and procedures. We applied for a bank account and trading accounts to facilitate paying off chain expenses.

On April 9th, we will open the grant application process on a rolling basis to members of the Celo community. Individuals and business entities that are aligned with Celo’s mission can apply. We will accept applications for the following four categories: on/off ramps, community tools, education, and research.

We would like to again thank the Celo community for their support. We are humbled that you have entrusted us with this responsibility.
