Gordon Hayward has been declared out for the season with a fractured left tibia and a dislocated left ankle. While this is bad news for Celtics fans, who had aspirations to make it past the infamous Cleveland Cavaliers, it will be interesting to see how the team handles this injury. With seven rookies on our roster and an average age of 24.7, the Celtics are a young team with a lot of potential.

A lot of what-ifs still exist. Will Jaylen Brown have a breakout season? Will Jayson Tatum reach his full potential? Will Guerschon Yabusele or Semi Ojeleye be worth the chance we took on them? Will Al Horford actually grab a rebound? If the answer is yes on all of these, then the Celtics could be headed to the conference finals and beyond! But if these are all no’s then we could be looking at a frustrating season filled with turnovers, flops and missed three pointers.
