It’s been a crazy first few months. We’ve seen intense growth, thousands of dollars flow through the network, hundreds of bounties, and we haven’t even launched our token yet (which will be used to incentivize ETH bounties). As a result, we decided to raise an initial round of funding in order to bring Cent to the next level. Expect some crazy-cool stuff coming soon.
Since you’re one of the first to use and recognize Cent for what it is, we wanted to share with you exactly what our vision is for the service. I’ve written up our official vision here, and we’d love if you checked it out and maybe gave it a few claps if you dig it.
We’ve also been churning out code, and have several new features launching today. The first is commenting — our most-requested feature and one that we think will quickly become a core aspect of the Cent experience. Any response can now become a conversation.
In addition to commenting, down-voting is also now possible. We realized this was a necessary feature in order to allow for more accurate distribution of bounties within the system. We have MAJOR updates coming to our voting mechanism in the next couple weeks that we can’t reveal quite yet. (Spoiler: you’ll earn ETH just for voting.)
