The TCU Bob Schieffer College of Communication and CSIS cohost a monthly series of dialogues hosted by award-winning journalist Bob Schieffer to discuss the most pressing foreign and domestic issues of the day. This week, leading foreign affairs and national security reporters discussed the Iran Deal and its implications.

2016 Northeast Asia Peace and Cooperation Forum

The Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) and CSIS in close collaboration with the Republic of Korea Ministry of Foreign Affairs and U.S. Department of State hosted a conversation with policymakers, opinion leaders, and experts across the Northeast Asia region to generate ideas for facilitating regional cooperation on pressing security challenges and opportunities.

Leaders in international affairs provided an in-depth examination of diversity in the U.S. government, specifically in foreign and national security policy, and a discussion of innovative ways to create a workforce that reflects a demographically-changing America.

Panelists discussed the findings and conclusions of a report generated by a research project jointly directed by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) with support from the European Development Finance Institutions (EDFIs).

Sounding the Alarm on Southern Africa’s Food Crisis

Panelists examined a new report and introductory film (below) from the CSIS Global Food Security Project. The report is based on research in Malawi and Mozambique, and examines the food insecurity crisis induced by one of the strongest El Niño weather systems on record.
