This Week at CSIS: 4/9/17
Plans, appointments, beginnings
Welcome to the Center for Strategic & International Studies. We would like to begin by discussing the purpose of this new organization.
CSIS is dedicated to assisting Congress and the executive branch in national security, international security, and general policy decisions. It also reports news around the world, comments on trends in world politics and international security, and offers insights and suggestions as to how policy should be laid out.
“CSIS is dedicated to providing the world’s leaders with thoughtful information about military, intelligence, warfare, and other international security topics in order to bring about a more peaceful world.”
— largeTitanic2, President, CSIS
largeTitanic2 has served as the Director of National Intelligence in the U.S. for the past four months, and in his time has experienced world politics, overseen a vast intelligence network, and can offer valuable insights to the world on intelligence. CSIS, under President largeTitanic2’s leadership, intends to have members from various departments of the federal government, former and current. These include, but are not limited to:
- State Department (DOS)
- Defense Department (DOD)
- Intelligence Community (IC) and ODNI
- The White House
- Senate Committee on Armed Services & Intelligence (SCASI)
- House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC)
In doing this, CSIS will build a functional staff of individuals experienced in international security, diplomacy, policymaking, decision-making, and much else. With this group of like-minded individuals, CSIS will set out on its’ task of commenting and providing advice on matters of international security and intelligence.
We hope you join CSIS in this beginning of the first-ever group of this kind to exist in Nightgaladeld’s United States.
