About Centered Health

Centered Health is a CARF-accredited adolescent treatment center that is based in Malibu, California. It residential treatment facility is a temporary home of adolescents struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. The center provides individualized treatment plans and luxurious accommodations.

Centered Health has a total of 1800 beds. Each room is quite spacious and has a total of 6 queen-sized beds. The facility looks like a modern home. It is built into a cliffside overlooking the beach and has sprawling balconies, tennis courts, a swimming pool, a game room and many shared living areas both indoors and outdoors. The meals are specially designed by professional chefs and nutritionists, to suit each patient needs.

The Centered Health professionals create individualized plan for every patient. Although each plan is individual, all include some combination of individual and group therapy rooted in evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT and psycho education.

Centered Health also employs alternative approaches, including art therapy, music therapy, psychodrama and equine therapy. Family therapy is also available upon request.

Patients work with on-site tutors to keep up with their schoolwork. Individual therapy usually takes place between three to five times a week. It depends on each resident’s needs. Moreover, extensive dual diagnosis support is available as well. The average length of stay is 60 to 90 days.
