CenterPrime presented the new NFT security technology “Watermark NFT” at DCentral Miami conference, the largest global conference in the field of NFT • De-Fi.
CenterPrime’s new NFT security technology has been presented at ‘THE FUTURE OF FINANCE & NFTS ARE DECENTRALIZED’ held from November 30th to December 1st, 2021. This event was the world’s largest face-to-face conference with more than 300 international speakers, athletes, artists and investors participating in five stages: NFT, Defi, Metaverse, Demo, etc.
At the Miami Airport Convention Center (MACC) the event was hosted by ArtBasel, the largest art company in the Unites States of America. co-founder of Ethereum and Consensys Joseph Lubin, Sophia the Robot, NBA star Baron Davis and 2020 Olympic gold medalist Elaine Thompson-Herah were attend. “Hello. I am CEO of CenterPrime, Seok BIn Yoon. By attending here, today’s subject to talk to you is “The solution of NFT copyright and contents hacking which is connected with digital contents.”
Digital contents and NFT is connected by metadata. However in the case of metadata, since contents associated with open token URI are stored in IPFS, metadata of digital contents can be easily copied, enabling random issuance of NFTs. Metadata contains IPFS’s route, in other words token URI, which is storing digital contents. Since NFT is documented on blockchain networks, nobody can change or modify it. Unauthorized copy of IPFS could easily disguise itself as a copyright holder or owner of content and issue an NFT. Problems like this have been continuously raised, and in fact, related problems have arisen recently.
According to media reports on November 19, an Australian man leaked 17.96 terabyte archive of images of all NFTs issued on the Ethereum and Solana blockchain networks to the torrent site Pirate Bay. Although it is a problem that the open source content files of IPFS have been leaked as in this case, NFTs created through the leaked data adversely affect the value and reliability of NFTs existing in the existing NFT marketplace. It becomes difficult for users to distinguish which NFT is the work of the actual original author, which not only raises trouble of the credibility value of NFT, but also affects the NFT market as a whole.
CenterPrime added content watermark security function to existing NFT smart contracts ERC721 and ERC1155 to solve security problem of NFT replication. It is to apply functions such as proving a water park to an NFT work for proof of ownership of content by original author or producer of content. The process of making watermarks follows this steps.
First step is to publish original digital content NFT by connecting watermark content NFT and artist- certified NFT. This is using the function of ERC1155.
The process above is completed in two steps. Step 1, watermark original NFT content. Step 2 is to automatically issue original content NFT verified through the NFT content verification group certification (creator certification).
After going through these two processes, a combined certified NFT is issued to protect the original digital content. In addition, by identifying forged or modulated NFTs, verification NFTs are distinguished, and authenticity is checked by matching with other content NFTs.
Second, digital content provider’s NFT verification is verified through the Dapp.
Currently, we have no way of verifying whether the issued NFT was issued by a digital content provider. This phenomenon can cause reliability problems in the market. To solve this, smart contract and token ID that issued NFT, are entered into the DAPP and verified by the digital content provider in real time.
CenterPrime uses Chainlink’s oracle technology to solve this problem. Watermark is applied to the original content to issue NFT, and the published information is re-recorded on the digital content provider server. At the same time, it also records on the blockchain. When the original NFT is issued through the content watermark NFT and artist certification, it is re-verified by the digital content provider.
With the rapid development of NFTs, the debate about hacking and security for NFTs will only increase in the future. However, if the way to solve problem is the way that NFT marketplaces block certain NFT contents, this is an action that goes against the theory of blockchain. This phenomenon will gradually diminish value that has made NFT market grow. In addition, NFT will degenerate into a technology that focuses only on growth of assets through simple transactions, not value of content.
With the rapid development of NFTs, the debate about hacking and security for NFTs will only increase in the future. However, if the way to solve problem is the way that NFT marketplaces block certain NFT contents, this is an action that goes against the theory of blockchain. This phenomenon will gradually diminish value that has made NFT market grow. In addition, NFT will degenerate into a technology that focuses only on growth of assets through simple transactions, not value of content.

CenterPrime presented limitations and loopholes in the current NFT and IPFS technologies, which are obstacles that impede the development of the market by undermining the current value and reliability of NFTs.
As a solution to the presented obstacles, Center Prime presented and announced content watermark NFT token syntax, original content NFT token auto mint, and real-time Dapp verification technology through digital content providers.
