A Kind Act Is Never Wasted

A retelling of Aesop’s Fable: The Ant and The Dove

Karma liked to keep tidy ledgers. Making sure her balance sheets were equal at the end of each day brought her much joy.

Just today, a hateful man was about to kill a Dove. For no good reason. He just enjoyed inflicting pain every place he went.

Karma smiled to herself when she thought about the tiniest of insects, the Ant. And the manner in which the situation played out so beautifully.

Not only did the Ant repay its debut to the Dove, but also repaid the Man for his ill intentions.

Karma loved it when a plan came together.

For this week’s prompt, reboot one of Aesop’s fables. Here is a link to the story behind the story. The Ant & The Dove. Thanks for reading!
