It was a neighbor who spotted the starlet face-down, floating in her pool. As they pulled her out, the young officer noticed her makeup looked flawless.
How could this be? He’d only ever seen one other drowned body, in the Sacramento River Basin, and that corpse looked like bread left floating too long in the fondu.
Later that day, when a photo surfaced of the starlet on social media sitting poolside with her makeup artist, he realized that the one person who could explain her appearance was also the last person to see her alive.
