Every Time You Leave
A 100-word story

One more time around?
Teddy had been waiting for this text since she left. It’d been two months since the moving guys took all the things that made it feel like home.
That was the hardest thing about her fight or flight reactions, seeing the house transformed into an empty shell.
That and her taking the dog.
He should just ignore the text. But it felt good to have a home, even for a little while.
Always, baby.
He sent it and waited. Maybe it’ll be better this time. At least there was the dog. He missed that little guy.
