“Dad, I passed all my exams except science.”

The dad asks with concern, “Why? Were you sick, my boy?”

“No, Dad. I was fine, but Sam was not.”

“How is Sam related to your failure?”

“He was sitting next to me for all exams, but was absent for science, Dad.”
