The wheelchair graveyard located in her basement hints at her life’s story. Her first chair, now a spider’s canvass, once shone of chrome and steel. The aluminum one she took to law school lies disabled, flat racing tires now a home to mice. Her favorite chair, the one she married her husband in, still holds pieces of Lanai’s red clay.
